Thomas joined his firm from DTM Legal where he was Head of Property. Thomas was a founding solicitor at DTM Legal and developed their property team from the outset - this gives him additional advantage when it comes to understanding clients’ needs and in assisting them in making commercial decisions on all aspects of commercial property.
After being appointed Partner in April 2010, aged 31, Thomas continued to build his reputation and client base in the North West. He specialises in all areas of commercial property but has particular expertise in development within the care and leisure sectors. Thomas acts for Castlemead Group Limited, who source, design, fund and contract innovative residential, primary healthcare and nursing home developments throughout the UK.
From a care home developer’s perspective Thomas has recently acted for Castlemead on nursing home in Bradford on Avon, Oswestry, Buxton and Chester with more in the pipeline.
From a Care Operator’s perceptive he has acted for Berrycroft Care on developments in Rochdale and Bury.
Thomas has advised on new-build care-home projects worth in excess of £100 million and once developed out, they will deliver 781 new residential care beds across 14 separate sites around the UK – half of which will be in the North West.
Thomas advises investor clients on a wide range of commercial property deals including residential development, acquisitions of residential portfolios and retail schemes.
Thomas’ expertise also extends to acting on Agricultural matters for farmers and landed estates having undertaken a significant number of complex voluntary registrations and large scale disposals.
