Rugby, United Kingdom
I work as a Paralegal in the Rugby office, assisting customers with all aspects of Family Law, including divorce, financial issues arising from divorce, separation, civil partnerships, cohabitation issues, pre-nuptial agreements and disputes between parents in relation to the arrangements for their children. I also represent customers at Court and assist Associate Solicitor Rachel Adams with more complex matters where required.
I find the job so rewarding, providing support to customers in their hour of need. I am proud to have played a part in helping some of our customers rebuild their lives after particularly difficult experiences.
Away from work, I am a keen rugby player and follow the sport avidly, in particular the Leicester Tigers! I have recently completed my LPC with a view to qualifying as a solicitor in 2018.
Legal Assistant
I have extensive experience dealing with divorce, dissolution and annulment proceedings as well as the financial claims arising from the breakdown of a marriage or civil partnership. My experience with financial claims ranges from the most basic clean break consent orders to the more complex cases involving complex business structures or cross-jurisdictional assets. I have acted for clients based in the US, the Middle East, Europe and Africa.
I am regularly instructed to prepare Pre or Post Nuptial Agreement and work pragmatically with other firms to ensure the documents are prepared and completed swiftly. Cohabitation Agreements are also becoming more popular as we continue to see an increase in "unmarried couples."
I regularly assist clients with contact or residence disputes and have acted for clients in relation to applications for Prohibited Steps Orders, Leave to Remove from the Jurisdiction, Specific Issue Orders and Child Arrangement Orders.
