Lisa qualified as a solicitor in 2000 after taking her degree course as a mature student.
She previously practised family law on a private and legally-aided basis. Prior to returning to tertiary education, she worked in Europe for many years for a non-profit making charitable organisation before returning to England to work for the National Health Service negotiating appropriate placements and services for people with mental and physical difficulties who were leaving long-stay hospitals to live in the community.
She joined ScoMo in January 2004 after moving south from the north-west.
Lisa specialises predominantly in mental health law, undertaking mainly Tribunal work for clients who are detained under civil or restricted sections.
Lisa represents mainly clients in Broadmoor, while retaining some clients in Ealing and London. She also has experience in public law, particularly community care.
