I have worked in family law since 2001, starting as a secretary and progressing up to being a Chartered Legal Executive. This means I have a wealth of experience in all aspects of Family Law, including divorce/dissolution, children and financial issues.
I am a member of Resolution, which means all work I undertake on behalf of a client is non-confrontational and conciliatory. I find that clients are generally more happy with an outcome when it has been negotiated, and this can also be a quicker and more cost effective solution for the parties involved.
I believe it is essential to ensure that a client understands the legalities of their case, and am always happy to answer as many questions as a client may have in relation to their case, and how matters can be resolved.
I am always looking to achieve the best possible solution for clients. I am a strong believer in trying to minimise the complexity of family issues and enjoy working with clients to find solutions that allow them to move forward with their life following a very difficult time. Quite often it is as much about supporting the client emotionally through a difficult stage in life, as it is ensuring that all legal matters are concluded to the client's satisfaction.
I worked in the Family Law Department for Bridge McFarland for over 10 years progressing from a secretary to a Chartered Legal Executive.
My expertise spread across the following areas:
College
2001 - 2002
A Level Law - part time
2003 - 2009
Distance Learning specialising in Family Law
“First class service that was both professional and personal. I would not be in the position that I am now had it not been for the sensitive way with which my case was dealt. Would highly recommend.”
Resolution is a community of family justice professionals who work with families and individuals to resolve issues in a constructive way.
