Leeds, United Kingdom
I am a Partner and head of the Dispute Resolution department at Cohen Cramer Solicitors based in Leeds City Centre. I qualified as a solicitor in 2004, joining Cohen Cramer in 2009 having previously trained and worked at commercial firms in Birmingham and Leeds.
The firm has had an active presence in West Yorkshire for over 30 years and currently specialises in Dispute Resolution, Personal Injury, Inheritance Disputes, Crime, Fraud & Regulatory and Proceeds of Crime Act matters.
My work covers a wide variety of civil and commercial disputes including professional negligence, building disputes, partnership/shareholder disputes, defamation and reputation management, breach of contract, injunctions, insurance and warranty claims, franchise disputes and intellectual property litigation.
I am a firm believer of the importance of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) within the litigation process and have a proven track record of negotiating favourable settlements for my clients long before matters reach Court or a final hearing, saving my clients substantial time and money and enabling them to focus on their lives and/or running their business. In particular, I have a particular interest in mediation and continue to achieve success through this form of ADR in respect of a wide range of different types of civil dispute.
I have been involved in a number of high profile and interesting disputes throughout my career to date and the nature of my work is such that no two days are the same. All disputes which I become involved in are unique and I am constantly challenged to find find new ways of working with my clients to obtain a successful solution to their legal issues.
The nature of my work involves litigation in the County, High and Appeal / Higher Courts.
The firm is forward thinking, embracing the latest developments in IT in the legal world, meaning that we are accessible to our clients regardless as to where they are based in the UK or indeed the world.
We also offer a wide range of funding options including "no win no fee" agreements where appropriate.
