Originally qualifying as a barrister, Jamila subsequently specialised as a family lawyer and divorce solicitor. She competently and forensically deals with all areas of family law including private children matters, divorce, financial relief matters and applications for non-molestation and occupation orders.

She has solid family law experience, acquiring a total of six years post-qualified experience. She has adopted a resilient and empathetic approach to her work.

Jamila’s specialised advocacy background has enabled her to accrue ample experience in successfully representing clients fully from point of instruction to representation at court, if required.

She adopts a resilient and yet empathetic approach to her work and as a member of Resolution she addresses family disputes in a constructive and non-confrontational way. Jamila is bilingual in English and Bengali and can interchange between the two seamlessly.
