Experience

Mary has almost thirty years of experience as a family law solicitor on the Fylde Coast, specialising in all aspects of family law but with a particular emphasis on matrimonial finance. Mary was previously a partner in a leading local firm of solicitors but decided two years ago to become self-employed to enable her to principally focus on matrimonial finance litigation.

Mary’s work focuses on the very highest value and most complex financial proceedings involving high net worth individuals, company directors, entrepreneurs and those with extensive property portfolios. Mary is experienced at penetrating elaborate corporate structures and trusts to ensure her clients receive their fair share of the assets.

Mary has a reputation for hard-hitting and effective litigation, a strategic commercial vison and fearlessness against any opponent, though is able to adopt a conciliatory, negotiated approach when required to achieve the desired outcome for her clients. She has an informal no-nonsense style coupled with gritty life experience and a passion for her cases.

Mary acts as a deputy appointed by the Court of Protection or as an attorney under a Lasting Power of Attorney, to manage the property and affairs of persons who lack the necessary mental capacity. Mary also acts as an executrix to administer the estates of many of her deceased clients.
