MDLS Solicitors Limited

I provide practical advice for businesses and individuals on a variety of disputes throughout Yorkshire.  My specialist areas include newbuild housing, transfer fees and debt recovery. My background with two well-known national law firms has provided me with skills to deal with individuals and businesses from Sole-traders through to large multi-national organisations.  I spent two years working for some of the nation’s largest housebuilders, defending claims brought by dissatisfied consumers.  My emphasis is always to provide a cost-effective solution to claims, with the ultimate aim of bringing it to a swift conclusion.  My experience regarding transfer fee disputes, means I am equipped to quickly spot whether the disputed fees are enforceable and provide her clients with a swift and informed view on how to proceed.  I have recovered debts for a wide variety of clients providing a full (court compliant) debt recovery service from sending the initial letter of claim, through advocacy at small claims hearings through to enforcement of any judgment.

Testimonials

Many Thanks

A million thanks. And for what its worth having spoken to a few solicitors regarding this situation, you were much more focused on helping and understanding the situation with consideration to myself not having seen a great deal of legal disputes. A pleasure in a situation that was far from pleasurable

Case Studies

New-Build Housing

Aby spent two years working for some of the nation’s largest housebuilders. She is experienced in defending claims brought by dissatisfied consumers. Such claims can be exaggerated and can cost the business a substantial amount of money and management time. Aby is able to provide a cost-effective solutions to claims, and can be involved when a dispute arises to try to ensure that it is brought to a swift conclusion.

Transfer Fees

During her time working within the construction industry, Aby has dealt with many cases where agencies have charged a “Transfer Fee” when an agency worker has moved agencies of his own volition, and been re-engaged by the contractor.

Similar fees can be charged where a Recruitment Agency charges an Introduction Fee. It is not uncommon for these fees to be applied when they are not strictly due. Such fees are only enforceable under certain circumstances.

If you are unsure whether you should have been charged a fee, or if you are an Agency and wish to consider whether the fee is enforceable, please get in touch.

Debt Recovery

Aby has recovered debts for a wide variety of clients. Aby is able to provide a full (court compliant) debt recovery service from sending the initial letter of claim, through advocacy at small claims hearings through to enforcement of any Judgment.
