Hull, United Kingdom
I lead the commercial litigation team at Bridge McFarland and we pride ourselves on being skilled and tenacious litigators while being easy to work with and down to earth. We act for well known local businesses and a number of national names as well as individuals who want a commercial approach and who want to be listened to and not talked at.
Much of the work we do arises from corporate transactions (warranty claims and the like) and disputes between shareholders and directors. We have a long history of dealing with interim injunction applications particularly where senior employees change employers and their issues arising from allegations of breach of use of confidential information and breach of restrictive covenants.
We have worked hard to put in place what we believe to be an unbeatable range of funding and After the Event insurance options.
I spent much of my career working at Andrew Jackson in Hull before moving to Langleys in York to be Head of their Dispute Resolution Department. I joined Bridge McFarland as an equity partner in May 2012.

Constant rejection of any claim is disheartening. Rob Ripley’s determination and positivity gave me the mental strength to continue pursuing what I knew to be right. The result was fair, justified and will make a tremendous difference to our business. The past five years have been harrowing.
The bank closed its doors to our claim and refused to re-open or permit appeal. I will always be indebted to Rob and hope that others will benefit from his stalwart approach
