I am a commercial lawyer who qualified in 2009 and joined the corporate and commercial department within the firm in 2015. Prior to becoming a solicitor I worked as a paralegal in the property finance department of a large international law firm in Birmingham. I trained with a firm in Solihull and also worked for a regional law practice in Birmingham. I have a Master’s Degree in English and Russian language and literature.
I am proud to have a wide range of experience advising clients on all aspects of commercial and corporate law including advising on sales and purchases of businesses, shareholders’ and partnership agreements, confidentiality and exclusivity agreements, franchise matters, terms and conditions of business, sale of goods and services agreements, research sponsorship agreements and IT related arrangements such as outsourcing, escrow agreements and licensing.
Clients range from sole traders and family run businesses to nationwide organisations. I have acted for a national car dealership, a well-known non-profit organisation as well as locally and regionally based family run businesses including high street retailers, restaurateurs, charities, children’s nurseries, gyms and various manufacturing businesses. In the past two years I have acted for a buyer of a Midlands golf course, a national car dealer in purchase of a car dealership of a well-known make of cars and for a local fish and chip family run business in the expansion of its business. I also act for sellers of businesses, and recently acted on the sale of a Birmingham based family run manufacturing business sold to an non-UK based buyer.
I regularly advise banks on the security arrangements and perfecting the security on behalf of the banks.
I have particular expertise in acting for dentists buying and selling NHS practices and/or private practices and recently acted in a number of transactions with an average sale price of £500,000. I have been advising on all aspects of the NHS and CQC requirements relating to sales and purchases of dental practices, independent optometrists and care homes. In the past 12 months I have acted for a number of GP practices in refinancing transactions. I also advise medical professionals i.e. dentists, GPs and surgeons, on all aspects of partnership matters including partnership agreements, fee sharing arrangements, retirement from partnerships and setting up LLPs .
I speak English, Slovak, Czech and Russian.
