Do you require a full Estate Administration service or a simple Grant of Probate only service?
What is Full Estate Administration?
The solicitor will obtain the Grant of Probate, then administer the distribution of the estate, payment of any debts and deal with the banks, shareholders etc., as set out in the Will or Rules of Intestacy and deal with all formal inheritance tax issues with HMRC. Unlike the Grant only service, the solicitor carries out the majority of the work.
What is a Grant of Probate only service?
The solicitor will complete all the forms and apply to the court for the Grant of Probate or Grant of Representation as appropriate, but will not administer the distribution or settlement of the estate and will not deal with any banks or debtors etc. You or the other executors will undertake this administration work yourselves.
